Daniele Cortecchia received his Bachelor of Science in Materials Chemistry and Ceramic Technology in 2010 and the Master of Science in Industrial Chemistry in 2012 at the University of Bologna. He then moved to Singapore, where in 2018 was awarded the PhD at the Interdisciplinary Graduate School at Nanyang Technological University, performing his research between the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) in the framework of the program “Research in Sustainable Earth”. Since 2017 he joined the Italian Institute of Technology, Center for Nano Science and Technology (IIT-CNST, Milan) in the group led by Dr. Annamaria Petrozza. In 2018 he was awarded the MSCA Seal of Excellence, and in 2019 he took part in the Marie Curie-RISE project  PEOPLE as visiting scientist at Nanjing Tech University (China). From 2020 to 2022 he was Marie Curie Individual fellow at IIT-CNST working on the project PERICLeS (PERovskIte Coherent Light Sources). Since 2022 Daniele is Senior Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna, Department of Industrial Chemistry, working on the study of advanced perovskite semiconductors for optoelectronics. He is currently involved as a Scientist-in-Charge in the MSCA-ITN project PERSEPHONe (PERovskite Semiconductors for PHOtoNics) and is coordinator of the ERC Starting Grant project SUPER (SUpramoleularly engineered PERovskite quantum wells), funded with 2.5 M€ by the European Commission.
